This is LG’s WashTower in Nature Green, a color option alongside white, black steel and candy apple red. Mechanically it is the same platform as the rest of the WKEX200 family: a 4.5 cubic foot washer and a 7.4 cubic foot dryer built into one 27 inch cabinet, with a Center Control panel between the two at eye level.
The format is worth being precise about. This is not a combination machine. There are two separate drums, so one load can wash while another dries, and throughput matches a conventional pair rather than a single drum unit. What is given up is independence: the tower arrives as one piece, is installed as one piece, and neither half can be replaced or serviced separately.
The black steel WKEX200HBA and the white WKEX200HWA are the same appliance in different finishes, so the choice between them is aesthetic rather than technical.
Electrical And Venting
The specification sheet states 240 volts. That is a dedicated dryer circuit on its own breaker with the correct receptacle, not an ordinary household outlet. Where a laundry space has only 120 volt outlets, an electrician has to install a new circuit first, and the receptacle configuration has to match the cord, since North American dryer outlets come in three wire and four wire versions. Take the specifics from LG’s installation manual and have the circuit confirmed before delivery day.
The listing states the dryer vent type as vented. That means a duct to the outside is required, correctly sized, kept as short and straight as practical, with a proper exterior termination. Lint accumulating in a poorly routed duct is a genuine fire risk, and a duct terminating indoors causes moisture damage. The duct diameter and the maximum permitted length are not published here and should come from the installation manual.
One field muddies this. The dryer type is recorded as Electric slash Gas, which describes the platform rather than this specific unit. The model code and the 240 volt figure both point to the electric configuration, and a gas version of the tower is sold under a different code. Confirm the fuel with the seller if there is any doubt, because the gas WKGX201HBA needs a gas line rather than a 240 volt circuit.
The Wash And Dry Features
TurboWash 360 uses five jets with variable sprays. LG’s speed claim is qualified in its own footnote: independent testing comparing the WKEX200 and WKGX201 against the WM3900, in the normal cycle with the TurboWash option, using a 10 pound load, dated June 2020. Ten pounds is well under a full 4.5 cubic foot drum and the option has to be selected, so the number describes a tested condition rather than routine laundry.
TurboSteam handles refreshing on the dryer side. LG’s marketing quotes 10 minutes, and on related listings that figure is qualified as up to five garments based on an internal test at LG’s own facility in December 2014. Five garments is a small load and internal testing is weaker evidence than certification, so it should be read as a capability rather than a routine.
The Allergiene wash cycle uses steam and LG states it removes up to 95 percent of common allergens including dust, pet dander and pollen, based on certification by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. That third party certification is the best evidenced claim on the page.
Center Control And Smart Pairing
The control panel sits between the washer and the dryer at chest height, which removes the most common ergonomic complaint about stacked machines: dryer controls above head height. On a cabinet this tall it is the single most practical feature of the design.

The specification data has clear errors. Option cycles is recorded as 216. Maximum rotational speed is given as 3900 revolutions per minute, which no domestic washer approaches. Installation type says built in when the appliance is freestanding. Access location says top load on a front load tower. The capacity field shows 4.5 cubic feet, which is the washer only. And the dimensions of 30.5 by 32 by 80 inches are unlabeled, where the black steel listing for the same platform gives a cleaner 30.38 by 27 by 74.38 inches.
Take the height in particular from LG’s specification sheet, because a tower near or above 74 inches will not clear every basement ceiling or every doorway on the delivery route. At 346 pounds delivered as a single piece, it also cannot be split into lighter halves the way a stacked pair can.
Six wash cycles and six dry cycles is a narrow list next to LG’s standalone machines. Only two customer ratings sit behind this listing, which is no sample at all.
