Capacity and What Fits
HAVA states four full place settings and more than 30 pieces of kitchenware in a single cycle, with dishes up to 11 inches fitting when loaded at an angle. The 11 inch figure is the one to check against actual plates, since standard American dinner plates run from 10.5 to 11.5 inches and the qualifier “loaded at an angle” is doing real work in that claim.
Fourteen water ports are described across the spray arms, providing both top and bottom spray. That is a reasonable spray arrangement for a tub this size and it addresses the main weakness of cheap countertop dishwashers, which is coverage rather than water temperature.
A fruit basket is included for washing produce, and the Fruit program is designed for it. Compared with the six place setting Farberware FCD06SDWHT, this machine is smaller in capacity but more flexible in how it gets its water.
The Programs, Temperature and Drying
The six programs are Normal, Speed, Soft, Heavy and Baby Care, Fruit and Dry. HAVA publishes the temperature for the Heavy and Baby Care mode at 167 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a specific figure and more than most manufacturers in this class disclose. It is aimed at baby feeding equipment and oily dishes.
The drying arrangement is worth describing properly because it is unusual. The Dry mode runs 60 minutes of hot air drying, and after that the machine provides 72 hours of automatic ventilation, cycling air through the tub to prevent the damp, stale smell that closed dishwashers develop. On a small plastic tub that ventilation is arguably more valuable than the hot air stage, because a polypropylene interior does not shed water as readily as stainless steel.
HAVA states the machine uses 5 liters of water per cycle, which it describes as a quarter of the amount used by hand washing. That comparison is HAVA’s own and no methodology is given for it. The verifiable part is the 5 liter figure, which is simply the tank volume.
Installation, Power and the Voltage Question
There is no plumbing installation required in tank mode. In faucet mode, a 61 inch inlet hose and a 61 inch outlet hose are included, and the sink is occupied while a cycle runs.
The electrical specification in this listing needs care. The “Voltage” field reads 220 volts, and the operating frequency is given as 60 Hz. Those two figures do not go together in the usual way: 60 Hz is the North American standard and standard North American outlets supply 120 volts, while 220 volt domestic supplies usually run at 50 Hz. HAVA’s near identical TDQR07 model is listed at 120 volts. The correct figure for this specific unit must be read off the rating plate on the machine or taken from HAVA’s manual before it is plugged in. Plugging a 220 volt appliance into a 120 volt outlet will not work, and the reverse is a genuine hazard. This is not a detail to resolve from a product listing.

Things To Consider
The voltage figure described above is the most important open question and it has to be resolved before use.
The cycle names in the specification table do not match the cycle names in the feature description. The table lists Speed, Intensive, Normal, Heated Dry and Rapid, while the description lists Normal, Speed, Soft, Heavy and Baby Care, Fruit and Dry. Those are different lists and the listing does not reconcile them.
At 60 dB this is a loud appliance for something that sits on a counter in the room with you. A built-in machine such as the Bosch SHEM63W55N at 44 dB is very substantially quieter.
The tub and racks are polypropylene rather than stainless steel, which is lighter and cheaper and less durable over years of hot cycles. HAVA also includes a note in the listing that a small amount of residual water in the unit on arrival is normal, the result of factory testing, which is worth knowing before assuming a leak.
At 18.1 inches high this will not fit under a standard wall cabinet on a counter once lid clearance is allowed for. Measure vertically first.
Who It Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere
This suits a small kitchen, an apartment, a dorm, a boat or an RV, and it suits it better than most because of the dual water supply. The published 167 degree wash temperature, the 14 port spray arrangement and the 72 hour ventilation cycle are all more thoughtful than the price class suggests, and the fruit basket is genuinely useful.
It is the wrong machine for a household of more than two or three, where four place settings means running it twice a day, and the wrong machine for anyone sensitive to noise. Larger options sit in the countertop dishwasher range, and any kitchen with the space and plumbing for a full size machine should look at the built-in dishwasher category instead.
